DRONE BUILD 04 — LiDAR Survey

Drone Golden Basket · BUILD 04

LiDAR Survey

The most professional of the four baskets. The laser scanner creates a dense 3D point cloud and enables work where photogrammetry is limited by surface geometry, uniform texture, or vegetation.

Basic Basket

Carrier
A heavy professional RTK carrier with sufficient payload and a stable survey workflow.
Sensor
Integrated LiDAR + high-accuracy IMU + RGB payload of survey grade.
Positioning
RTK/PPK and strict coordinate system control workflow.
Processing
Point cloud, classification, DTM/DSM, profiles, and export to GIS/CAD — specific software and pipeline chosen to meet client requirements.

What the Operator Sells

  • high-density point cloud
  • topography / terrain model
  • forestry & vegetation penetration datasets
  • corridor / utility / infrastructure survey
  • volumetric and mining operations

Economics Before Payment

LiDAR is the most expensive entry among the four: a full set typically costs approximately $18–30k before specialized additional expenses. Public rates for 2026 show typical LiDAR projects around $2,500–15,000, with even small professional projects often having a high minimum price.

Benchmark scenario: one small order with $3–5k gross revenue per month already provides about 5–10 months of gross revenue to cover hardware costs. However, accuracy, responsibility, processing, and local survey deliverables requirements are especially important here.

Where We Connect

Engineers, surveyors, utilities, forestry, mining, infrastructure, and international data marketplaces. FlyGuys publicly uses L2 for professional LiDAR surveying; GLOBHE accepts LiDAR as a separate data product.

What’s Included in the Golden Basket

After payment, you get lifetime access to the complete technical assembly specifically for LiDAR Survey. On the open page, we demonstrate the machine’s profession and economics. Inside the Golden Basket, precise engineering already begins.

1. Carrier
Exact platform, version, compatibility, and what to look for from the supplier.
2. Sensor / payload
Exact sensor model, compatibility, mounting, and limitations.
3. RTK / PPK
How to achieve accurate georeferencing: network, base station, NTRIP, or backup workflow.
4. Power
Batteries, charging, field autonomy, and reasonable reserves.
5. Mandatory gear
Data carriers, case, spare parts, and essentials without which fieldwork would fail.
6. Software
Which programs are needed for planning, processing, and delivering results to the client.
7. Assembly and setup
Firmware, calibration, payload installation, and working configuration.
8. Working flight
Altitude, overlap, route, speed, and mission pattern for this profession.
9. Data processing
From raw flight to a product that can be delivered to the client.
10. Market connection
Where to register, which documents to prepare, and where to offer the result.
11. Search and scaling
Proper names for Google/marketplaces, suppliers, upgrades, and the next business stage.
The main point of the Golden Basket: not to make you buy everything indiscriminately. On the contrary — to give an exact list of what this assembly needs and separately highlight what not to buy.

After payment is confirmed, access to your product will appear here. It will also always be available on DePIN World under “MY PRODUCTS”. Sign in with the email and password used during registration.
BUY GOLDEN BASKET — $399

$399 — one-time purchase of the selected Golden Basket. Access to technical documentation and its updates remains with you for life. Specific models and full BOM are revealed after payment.

Technical support — $99 / 30 days, only when needed. If engineering help is required during assembly, calibration, software setup, or initial working missions, Support can be activated for one month. Continuous renewal is not required.

Must Do Before Purchase

LiDAR is an expensive entry. Before purchase, we clarify the client, required accuracy, coordinate system, deliverables, legal/survey restrictions, and processing volume. Otherwise, costly hardware can easily become an expensive toy.
